In this visionary paper, Marc Richir presents – perhaps for the first time in the history of the reception of Eugen Fink’s work – a detailed and at the same time comprehensive reading of the main innovations with which the young Fink announced his turnaround in the context of Husserlian consciousness analysis and of phenomenology in general. He starts from Fink’s PhD thesis, Presentification and Image, and from some work notes of the period (1929-1930), still unpublished in Portuguese.
